With the release of the data from the Indiana Department of Education, Carmel Clay Schools has shown continued growth in academic results. Here is our breakdown of some of the key results.
ILEARN Proficiency
Tied for #1 in Indiana

Elementary and middle school students in CCS continued to increase their results on ILEARN relative to the state average.
The results showed CCS tied for #1 in the state of Indiana in English/Language Arts, #2 in the state in Math, #2 in combined ELA & Math, and #3 in 5th grade Social Studies.
Grade 11 SAT
The Grade 11 students at CCS had an impressive 267.51% relative performance compared to the state average on the SAT exam. Out of all 294 traditional public high schools in Indiana, Carmel Clay Schools ranked #2!
*Note: the SAT test was changed in 2024 to a digital adaptive format. As the first year for this format, year-over-year comparisons may not provide information about the performance of the 2024 cohort compared to previous years. Reports are stating that there is a national decrease in average scores. Relative performance compared to other students taking the SAT with the new format is the only reliable measure as the initial testing will create a new baseline. Relative performance for 2024 increased from 237.89% indicating that CCS students continued to increase their level of performance even with the new format.
